At Mombo Parish, one of the parishes at the plains Deanery in the North Eastern Diocese, 119 youths (56 boys and 63 girls) confirmed their faith and 2 among them were baptized during the worship service. The event took place from morning of 28th October 2018 to afternoon the same day.

The worship service was attended by the Bishop of the North Eastern Diocese Dr. Stephen I. Munga who preached the word of God from the Gospel of Matthew 21: 12 – 27, Assistant to the Bishop Rev. Dr. Eberhardt Ngugi who led the liturgy in the service, Rev. James Mwinuka (NED’s - general Secretary), Pastors from different parishes and stations, Workers of Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University, friends of North Eastern Diocese from United State of America, civil servants and congregants.
After the confirmation of 119 youths, pastors and congregants prayed for SEKOMU which was celebrating the 10th anniversary since it was started and for the new Vice Chancellor Prof. Didas Kimaro and his family who was appointed by the Executive Council of the North Eastern Diocese on 9th August 2018.

The worship service was extremely blessed whereby “Vilindini” choir from Kwalukonge parish and “Muungano” choir from Mombo parish showed a great performance when they praised God through their songs at the Service.
