On 23rd of September 2018 was the joyful day for the Christians of Mikanjuni parish whereby the Dean of the Coast Deanery Rev. Moses Shemweta consecrated the new car (Escudo) at Mikanjuni church in Coast Deanery during the worship service on Sunday.

On 19th September 2018 four volunteers Emma Backstrom and Filip Jonsson from Sweden, Lydia Labuhn and Miriam Gatawis from Germany celebrated the accomplishment of their two weeks Kiswahili program which was conducted by Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University.
